The high level of MIGRATION between Africa and Europe in both directions, together with OVERPOPULATION and ABSENCE of RESOURCES tends to establish a new configuration of the current socio-economical parameters in the MEDITERRANEAN SEA. Future conditions are understood in terms of mass migration and nomadism, in which creation of SETTLEMENTS and production of space is based on conditions of INSTABILITY.
The Subaquarian City project develops a model of an AUTO-SUFFICIENT AMPHIBIOUS CITY that explores new ways of living in large scale water environments. This new territory could be occupied progressively by societies and individuals on terms of mutual tolerance, self-interest, and interior and exterior competitiveness, creating high levels of diversity and establishing numerous punctual potentialities
